I rarely use the word precious. But "precious" is really the only word I can think of to describe this wordless book. Mooch, a normally verbal cat, silently saves the day by helping a little yellow bird whose flock headed South without him. The artwork is tender and encourages us to help those who are weaker, smaller, and right in front of us. I love watching Isaac's face go from concern to relief and joy as he turns each page from beginning to end. It is truly a profound and precious work of art!
